My dog had some stones in her bladder when she went to get spayed. I felt so bad but they really took care of my dog. They are all so sweet. My dog is home now recovering.

We were on vacation at Indian lake and our little 8-month-old Yorkie took a dive off the couch while playing at the cabin we were staying at. She landed awkwardly and yipped and held her leg up and would not put any weight on it at all. Like any dog dad I was worried sick afraid that I could not find a vet that could see her that day as it happened at approximately 3:15 p.m. in the afternoon. I got a solid string of "no's" from other vets in the area but Southgate graciously squeezed her in that afternoon and I was in the waiting room at approximately 4:15 talking to the doctor and reviewing the x-rays. So grateful to them as they made the rest of the vacation as pleasant as it could be luckily no broken bones just a stretched ligament so a little anti-inflammatory and rest were prescribed and we were in and out in no time flat. So grateful - the office was spic and span, the staff was great, and very efficient as we got seen quickly! 👍👍👍

Everyone from the front desk, to the vet assistants, vet techs and the Dr. care so much about your pet and it truly shows. I never feel like I'm being rushed if I have questions or concerns. Southgate is the best place for your fur babies.

Our experience from start to finish was very professional! Having scheduled the surgery to remove two lumps, I entered the clinic and was quickly greeted and taken to a room. Within minutes the Tech Vet was there and went over the surgery and when I could return to get our dog. Dr. Weaver contacted me to let me know what he found. I went home with her that night. She healed up great from the surgery and is running around as peppy as ever. Returned to have the stitches removed and had the same experience. In and out within 15 minutes. After several attempts at four vets to have my two elderly dogs, both with multiple medical issues, humanely euthanized, I came across Southgate Vet Clinic. When I called, I was welcomed and heard by the very caring staff! Being heard was so important to me. Four months earlier, I had been turned away because my dogs were "doing too good" to be euthanized. No one seemed to hear how hard it was for my dogs, or how hard it was for me caring for their needs. Southgate's staff, from the young lady answering the phone to Dr. Jo, showed immense empathy, caring, and understanding. Along with the reasonable cost, this will be my go to vet from today on. I will wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone! Totally worth any drive for the cost and the excellent care!

Wonderful experience. Dog ate a corncob and had to have it surgically removed. They got us in the same day I called. Did great with him as he tends to get a little nervous and nippy at the vet. Dr. Weaver was awesome! Answered all our questions and always put what was best for our boy first. Every person there knew him and talked with him. Love this place!

I absolutely love everyone here!! My animals are always well taken care of and we feel more like family than clients! My dog gets excited to come to his visits! He knows exactly where we are as soon as we pull in! My cats are always treated good too and they love the attention!! I would highly recommend South Gate!!!
